Hospitals and doctors offices throughout New York City are facing the challenge of how to communicate with Spanish speaking patients. The Moradian Learning Center offers a Medical Spanish course as a solution.
This course is designed to give you a basic understanding of how the Spanish language, with emphasis on conversational skills (listening and speaking) as well as vocabulary specific to the medical field. You are an active participant in deciding the direction of the course. The teacher will not move ahead until you feel ready and will not spend time on aspects of the language you do not feel will directly benefit your purposes.
Upon completion of the course, you are encouraged to participate in a weeklong language immersion in Oaxaca, Mexico.
Classes can be held at the workplace during the workday, including the lunch hour or evenings. Group classes in offices or hospitals are available as well.

Any cancellation must take place 24 hours in advance of the class in order to reschedule the hour.
